I am not sure Jesus would have celebrated the decision by the Supreme Court of the United States to reverse Roe v. Wade. I believe He holds everyone to another standard. An even higher standard that does not get bogged down in the “rights” people have, but does uphold His righteousness.
Our world is in a crisis and future generations will write, read, and study about the way in which we handled this turning point.
While I am not a fan of theirs, I have to give much respect to the New England Patriots and their superstar QB, Tom Brady, for winning Super Bowl LIII. Their win and consistent success provides several teaching points that should not be overlooked.
We cannot serve God from our couch or the comfort of our home. To be Jesus’ disciple, we must be where He is both physically and spiritually.
When faced with challenges, do not blame God or quit following Him. Ask God to show us His perspective and then wait on Him.

Only by embracing the eternal plans The Lord has for our lives will we increase in the power and authority which comes from a personal and intimate relationship with Jesus.
Sin causes us to not seek God, but thank God that He came to us in love. We must be convinced that God loves the real, broken us and not ashamed to declare: “Yes, Jesus loves me!”
Like Jesus, we should have such a desire to please God that we do everything He has told us to do without reservation, hesitation or trepidation. We need the kind of relationship with God that says whatever You ask, I will do it, even if I do not like or understand it.
While demonstrative praise is important and within our rights as a believer of Jesus Christ, it is important to know that when Holy Spirit filled people in scripture they did not just run around each other in worship and return home; they were empowered to share the gospel with the intent on seeing souls saved to bring more people into God’s kingdom.
Being with one accord does not mean that we agree on everything, but it does mean we agree on the main thing, which is love!
Growing the Kingdom of God is the primary reason why Jesus said in our memory verse that once Holy Ghost indwells within His believers, they would receive power to effectively witness in Jerusalem (among their family), in Judea (among their friends), in Samira (among their foes) and to the uttermost part of the earth (among foreigners).
When we reach out to Jesus, we will be able to let go of “The sin” that easily and skillfully surrounds us.
The best way to proceed in God is to let go of everything that tries to hinder us.
The way to financial increase is by honestly giving what you have to offer. This will both support the kingdom of God and bless your household. The punishment may be separation from the very things you are trying to keep. The challenge this week is to offer a sacrificial investment to the Kingdom of God and trust that He will return it, with interest.
While it is important and necessary to be delivered, deliverance is only a crutch if it is not accompanied with discipleship. Without discipleship, we will always need to be delivered.
Jesus did not just tell the disciples to serve others, He showed them how and when they were to do so. How? By taking on the mindset of a servant. When? Whenever the opportunity presented itself they were to take off their garments and serve someone else.
The Lord provides unconditional, unbiased, unwavering and sacrificial love. If we love people in this manner we should also joyfully serve them in this manner.
While the working of miracles showed Jesus’ authority, the washing of His disciples’ feet showed His humility.
Serving others in the midst of confusion shows that we are vulnerable to openly love those who may not fully understand or value our purpose.
Humility places us at the feet of Jesus. Great things happen at the feet and in the presence of Jesus.
As soon as Peter’s mother-in-law was healed by Jesus she showed her gratitude by immediately getting up to serve Him and others.
After everything that Jesus had done and experienced He willingly served someone in Peter’s house who was under-served and overlooked; all because there was a need. Servants serve when needed and not just when convenient.
