2018 7 Days of Fasting and Prayer

7 Days of Prayer and Fasting: Day 6 – December 8, 2018. Based on “Experiencing God” by Henry and Richard Blackaby and Claude King

From December 3, 2018 – December 9, 2018 we are praying and fasting 12 hours per day (6am – 6pm) only drinking water.

Read:  Exodus 6:10 – 13

Memory verse: Exodus 6: 12 And Moses spake before the Lord, saying, Behold, the children of Israel have not hearkened unto me; how then shall Pharaoh hear me, who am of uncircumcised lips?

When Moses told Pharaoh that Israel needed to be free, his response was more hardship and the people blamed Moses. This led Moses to actually blame God and accuse Him of failing to do what he promised. God was patient with Moses and took the time to explain His perspective to him. Thank God that He is patient with us.

When faced with challenges, do not blame God or quit following Him. Ask God to show us His perspective and then wait on Him. Perhaps God keeps allowing challenging circumstances so that we will truly hear His truth speak to us. Many are making good decisions, but God wants to help us make our best decision.

Pray today:
1. That we do not just chose between making “good” or “bad” decisions, but instead between what is “good” and God’s “best”. We should always desire God’s best,
2. That we help the unsaved give their best by accepting Jesus, and
3. That we give God our best to help at least 50 people come to Jesus.

After you read and pray throughout the day, be sure to take time to listen for God to respond. Keep a journal to record what you hear Him say.
