7 Days of Prayer and Fasting: Day 1 – June 18, 2018

From June 18, 2018 – June 24, 2018 we are praying and fasting 12 hours per day (6am – 6pm) only drinking water.

Day 1: June 18, 2018:

Read: Luke 4:38 – 39

Memory verse: Luke 4:39a And he stood over her, and rebuked the fever; and it left her:

Jesus desired to minister in His childhood town of Nazareth but was rejected by many who refused to accept HIM as THE SON of GOD because they knew him as the son of Joseph. Ultimately, Jesus went to Capernaum and displayed the power to not only teach, but also heal and cast out demonic spirits. One of the individuals who benefited from His power was the mother-in-law of Peter who was on her death bed as a result of a very high fever. After everything that Jesus had done and experienced He willingly served someone in Peter’s house who was under-served and overlooked; all because there was a need. Servants serve when needed and not just when convenient.

Pray today:
1. For a deeper appreciation for how Jesus has served you, even while you were in sin.
2. Asking God to forgive you for any time you rejected Christ, His Word and/or His influence, and
3. For a servants heart so that you serve others just like Jesus.

After you read and pray throughout the day, be sure to take time to listen for God to respond. Keep a journal to record what you hear Him say.
