Day 4 Of The ‪#‎PrayFirst‬ Campaign. Pray For Facilities!

For One Week we will pray for One Minute every hour about One Topic as One Church to One God! Pray for the first 60 seconds of every hour and watch God bless the other 59 minutes! Prayers begin when you wake up until 10:00 PM. There is power when God’s people pray in unity. Join us as we answer Jesus’ prayer “May they be ONE” (John 17:21)”

Today we are praying for:
Facilities (Proverbs 24:27; Luke 14:28-30)

Facility 2Not too long ago I read a statement made by Chick-fil-A founder Truett Cathy in response to ideas from his executive management team on how the restaurant chain could become “bigger”. Mr. Cathy, as the story is told, passionately pounded his fist on the boardroom table and told the stunned onlookers “If we get better, our customer will demand that we get bigger.”

As pastors and members of local churches pray and seek to become “better” in the ministry that is offered, there is an increasing need for facilities which allow the ministry to also remain relevant.

Whether the building in which you worship is traditional or multipurpose – the facilities should allow for relevant ministry. It does not matter if the building is located in an urban or rural area – the facilities should allow for relevant ministry. Regardless if your regular weekly Sunday worship attendance is less than 100 or attracts 1,000’s of attendees – the facilities should allow for relevant ministry.

Why should the facilities allow for relevant ministry? Because, as Pastor Andy Stanley and North Point Church have correctly pointed out on their church website:

Our competition is NOT another church; our competition is anywhere else they (people) could be!

While there are other factors involved in helping ministry be relevant, the facilities in which we worship have a major impact on helping attendees feel that there is no other place they would rather be.

Today, as you pray:

  1. Thank God that your church has a facility in which you can worship Him.
  2. Ask God to reveal creative ways in which the present facility can remain (or become) relevant to meet the needs of those who attend.
  3. Declare and decree that there will be an abundance of financial resources to help any church that is in need of either a new or upgraded facility. They will accomplish their goals of building, moving or renovating, in The Name of Jesus, without stress on the pastor. (We prayed for finances yesterday!)

Before you know it, 60 seconds would have already passed. Great things happen when we #PrayFirst
